About Banderlog Explorers
Banderlog explorer unit is the next step after Scouts. Explorers is from the age of 14 to 18,
where you can move on to the Network Scouts or become a warranted leader (much needed in some group). Our group relies heavily on feeds from Scouts. The two main feeds that we have are from the two local Scout groups (3rd Alton & 8th Alton), although we welcome any new members from both different groups and people who've never done scouting before and who are up the challenge. We meet every week on Wednesday evening from seven to nine o'clock (give or take 10 minutes). If you would like to join our group, then fill in this form and we will get back to you with some more details and programs.
About Banderlogs
Banderlog Explorer Unit was formed in 2002 after a big change in the scout organization.
Banderlogs is a strong group of both boys and girls who enjoy all sorts of activities that range from the sailing to backpacking, as well as building a fully working go-kart and play in the compulsory "sheep in the pen" (a variation on the game, british bulldog) and a good old game of fast paced hockey.
Although we cannot forget all the brilliant camps that we are able to go on the such as the summer camp to Scotland, as well as cycling in Belgium and recently the trip to Italy, which was a major success for the group. But if you not quite up to doing trip that big, then we also do a lot off the local camp which test skills in cooking and fire making, but more importantly, gets us out of the house. We also compete with other local Scout groups and Explorer groups in different challenges such as cooking, camping competitions and wide games.
